Domain Change

The Controller of Certification Authorities (CCA) hereby informs all stakeholders that the official internet domain of the CCA has been changed from CCA.MU to CCAMU.ORG. Consequently, the URLs associated with Online Certificate Status Protocol (OCSP) and Certificate Revocation Lists (CRLs) have also been updated.

As a result of this transition, licensed Certification Authorities (CA) are requested to notify their users of the following:

·    When using existing digital certificates, users may encounter a validation warning due to the updated URLs.
·    This warning arises because revocation checks cannot be completed against the old domain.
·    Importantly, this warning does not mean the certificate is revoked. Certificates remain cryptographically valid and can continue          to be used.
·    Users may ignore the warning temporarily until new certificates are issued by their CA.

Security Note: While the warning can be safely ignored in the short term, revocation checking is a critical part of certificate validation. CAs are therefore urged to reissue certificates referencing the updated OCSP and CRL URLs at the earliest opportunity to restore full trust and compliance.
